Core i7-4710HQ vs FX-8320E specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the FX-8320E is faster than the Core i7-4710HQ. Despite this, the Core i7-4710HQ has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the FX-8320E has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-4710HQ. A Core i7-4710HQ CPU outputs less heat than a FX-8320E CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i7-4710HQ has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
