Core i7-3770S vs Core i3-N300 benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-N300 is faster than the Core i7-3770S. Despite this, the Core i7-3770S has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i3-N300 has significantly more cores than the Core i7-3770S. Indeed, the Core i3-N300 has 8 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Core i7-3770S. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i7-3770S has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i3-N300. Also, the Core i7-3770S has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i3-N300 outputs less heat than Core i7-3770S thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Core i7-3770S has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
