Core i7-14700T vs EPYC 74F3 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-14700T is faster than the EPYC 74F3. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the EPYC 74F3 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-14700T has significantly more cores with 20 cores whereas the EPYC 74F3 has 9 cores. It also has more threads than the EPYC 74F3. Our comparison shows that the EPYC 74F3 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-14700T. In terms of cache, the Core i7-14700T has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the EPYC 74F3. The Core i7-14700T also has slightly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i7-14700T has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
