Core i7-14700T vs Core i7-13800H benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i7-14700T beats the Core i7-13800H in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i7-13800H has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-14700T has many more cores with 20 cores whereas the Core i7-13800H has 14 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i7-13800H. Our comparison shows that the Core i7-13800H has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-14700T. Furthermore, both these CPUs have identical turbo speeds. In terms of cache, the Core i7-14700T has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i7-13800H. The Core i7-14700T also has slightly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i7-14700T has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
