Core i7-13850HX vs Core i5-14600K benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-14600K performs better than the Core i7-13850HX. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-13850HX in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-13850HX has many more cores with 20 cores whereas the Core i5-14600K has 14 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-14600K. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-14600K has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-13850HX. In addition, both chips have the same turbo speed. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i7-13850HX has slightly more L2 cache than the Core i5-14600K. The Core i7-13850HX also has slightly more L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Core i7-13850HX has more threads than cores.
