Core i7-13800H vs Core Ultra 9 285H specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Core i7-13800H beats the Core Ultra 9 285H in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core Ultra 9 285H in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core Ultra 9 285H has slightly more cores with 16 cores compared to the Core i7-13800H that has 14 cores. Despite this, the Core i7-13800H has more threads than the Core Ultra 9 285H. With our hardware info, we find that the Core Ultra 9 285H has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-13800H. Also, the Core Ultra 9 285H has a slightly higher turbo speed. In terms of cache, the Core Ultra 9 285H has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i7-13800H. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i7-13800H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
