Core i7-13700 vs Ryzen 9 7845HX benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-13700 performs better than the Ryzen 9 7845HX. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 9 7845HX in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-13700 has slightly more cores with 16 cores whereas the Ryzen 9 7845HX has 12 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 9 7845HX has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-13700. Furthermore, both these CPUs have identical turbo speeds. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 9 7845HX has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i7-13700. The Ryzen 9 7845HX also has significantly more L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Core i7-13700 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
