Core i7-13650HX vs Ryzen 7 6800HS specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-13650HX is faster than the Ryzen 7 6800HS. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 6800HS in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i7-13650HX has significantly more cores with 14 cores compared to the Ryzen 7 6800HS that has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 7 6800HS. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 6800HS has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-13650HX. Despite this, the Core i7-13650HX has a slightly higher turbo speed. When comparing cache sizes, these CPUs have an identical amount of L2 cache. The Core i7-13650HX also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i7-13650HX has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
