Core i7-1360P vs Ryzen 5 7430U benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i7-1360P beats the Ryzen 5 7430U in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 7430U in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i7-1360P has significantly more cores with 12 cores compared to the Ryzen 5 7430U that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 7430U. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 7430U has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-1360P. Despite this, the Core i7-1360P has a slightly higher turbo speed. In terms of cache, the Core i7-1360P has slightly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 5 7430U. The Core i7-1360P also has slightly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i7-1360P has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
