Core i7-1270P vs Core i5-12600T comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-12600T is faster than the Core i7-1270P. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-1270P in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-1270P has significantly more cores with 12 cores whereas the Core i5-12600T has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-12600T. Our comparison shows that the Core i7-1270P has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-12600T. In terms of cache, the Core i7-1270P has slightly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-12600T. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i7-1270P has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
