Core i7-12700H vs Xeon W-10855M benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-12700H is faster than the Xeon W-10855M. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon W-10855M in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-12700H has significantly more cores with 14 cores whereas the Xeon W-10855M has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Xeon W-10855M. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon W-10855M has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-12700H. Also, the Xeon W-10855M has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Core i7-12700H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
