Core i7-12650H vs Core i5-14500T benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-14500T is faster than the Core i7-12650H. Despite this, the Core i7-12650H has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i5-14500T has slightly more cores with 14 cores compared to the Core i7-12650H that has 10 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i7-12650H. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i7-12650H has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-14500T. Despite this, the Core i5-14500T has a slightly higher turbo speed. In terms of cache, the Core i5-14500T has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i7-12650H. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i7-12650H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
