Core i7-11800H vs Xeon Silver 4114 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon Silver 4114 is faster than the Core i7-11800H. Despite this, the Core i7-11800H has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon Silver 4114 has slightly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Core i7-11800H has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i7-11800H. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i7-11800H has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon Silver 4114. Also, the Core i7-11800H has a significantly higher turbo speed. A Core i7-11800H CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon Silver 4114 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Core i7-11800H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
