Core i7-11700KF vs Core i7-12650H comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-12650H is faster than the Core i7-11700KF. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-11700KF in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i7-12650H has slightly more cores with 10 cores compared to the Core i7-11700KF that has 8 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i7-11700KF has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-12650H. Also, the Core i7-11700KF has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-12650H outputs less heat than Core i7-11700KF thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i7-11700KF has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i7-12650H. Despite this, the Core i7-12650H has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Core i7-11700KF.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i7-11700KF has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
