Core i7-11700K vs Ryzen 5 7600X comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 7600X is faster than the Core i7-11700K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-11700K in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-11700K has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Ryzen 5 7600X has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 7600X. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 7600X has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-11700K. Also, the Ryzen 5 7600X has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 5 7600X outputs less heat than Core i7-11700K thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 5 7600X has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i7-11700K. The Ryzen 5 7600X also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i7-11700K has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
