Core i7-11700F vs Xeon W-2155 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-11700F is faster than the Xeon W-2155. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon W-2155 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon W-2155 has slightly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Core i7-11700F has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i7-11700F. Our comparison shows that the Xeon W-2155 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-11700F. Despite this, the Core i7-11700F has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i7-11700F CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon W-2155 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i7-11700F has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
