Core i7-10875H vs Core i5-1245U benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-1245U performs better than the Core i7-10875H. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-10875H in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-1245U has slightly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Core i7-10875H has 8 cores. Despite this, the Core i7-10875H has more threads than the Core i5-1245U. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i7-10875H has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-1245U. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i5-1245U has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i7-10875H. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i7-10875H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
