Core i7-10870H vs Core i5-1350P specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-10870H is faster than the Core i5-1350P. Despite this, the Core i5-1350P has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-1350P has significantly more cores with 12 cores whereas the Core i7-10870H has 8 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i7-10870H has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-1350P. Also, the Core i7-10870H has a slightly higher turbo speed. In terms of cache, the Core i5-1350P has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i7-10870H. Despite this, the Core i7-10870H has slightly more L3 cache compared to the Core i5-1350P.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i7-10870H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
