Core i7-10850H vs Core 5 120U benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-10850H is faster than the Core 5 120U. Despite this, the Core 5 120U has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Core 5 120U has significantly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Core i7-10850H has 6 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i7-10850H has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core 5 120U. In terms of cache, the Core 5 120U has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i7-10850H. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Core i7-10850H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
