Core i7-10750H vs Xeon X5670 benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Xeon X5670 performs better than the Core i7-10750H. Despite this, the Core i7-10750H has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon X5670 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-10750H. Despite this, the Core i7-10750H has a significantly higher turbo speed. A Core i7-10750H CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon X5670 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches and L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i7-10750H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
