Core i7-10710U vs Xeon W-2223 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i7-10710U beats the Xeon W-2223 in overall performance. Despite this, the Xeon W-2223 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-10710U has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Xeon W-2223 has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Xeon W-2223. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon W-2223 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-10710U. Despite this, the Core i7-10710U has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i7-10710U CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon W-2223 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i7-10710U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
