Core i7-10700F vs Xeon W-11855M benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-10700F is faster than the Xeon W-11855M. Despite this, the Xeon W-11855M has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-10700F has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Xeon W-11855M has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Xeon W-11855M. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon W-11855M has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-10700F. Also, the Xeon W-11855M has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Xeon W-11855M outputs less heat than Core i7-10700F thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i7-10700F has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
