Core i5-9600T vs Xeon E5-2650 v4 comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon E5-2650 v4 is faster than the Core i5-9600T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-9600T in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Xeon E5-2650 v4 has significantly more cores with 12 cores compared to the Core i5-9600T that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-9600T. Our comparison shows that the Core i5-9600T has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon E5-2650 v4. Also, the Core i5-9600T has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-9600T CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-2650 v4 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i5-9600T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
