Core i5-9600T vs Xeon E5-1620 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-9600T is faster than the Xeon E5-1620. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E5-1620 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-9600T has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Xeon E5-1620 has 4 cores. Despite this, the Xeon E5-1620 has more threads than the Core i5-9600T. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon E5-1620 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-9600T. Despite this, the Core i5-9600T has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-9600T CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-1620 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-9600T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
