Core i5-9600T vs Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-9600T is faster than the Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i5-9600T has significantly more cores with 6 cores compared to the Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U that has 4 cores. Despite this, the Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U has more threads than the Core i5-9600T. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-9600T has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U. Also, the Core i5-9600T has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U outputs less heat than Core i5-9600T thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i5-9600T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
