Core i5-9600KF vs Core i7-1255U comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-9600KF is faster than the Core i7-1255U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-1255U in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i7-1255U has significantly more cores with 10 cores compared to the Core i5-9600KF that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-9600KF. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-9600KF has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-1255U. Despite this, the Core i7-1255U has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-1255U outputs less heat than Core i5-9600KF thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i7-1255U has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i5-9600KF. The Core i7-1255U also has slightly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-9600KF has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
