Core i5-9600K vs Xeon X5680 benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-9600K performs better than the Xeon X5680. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon X5680 in all gaming tests too.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Xeon X5680 has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-9600K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Xeon X5680. Also, the Core i5-9600K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-9600K CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon X5680 CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i5-9600K has significantly more L2 cache than the Xeon X5680. The Core i5-9600K also has significantly more L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking.
