Core i5-9600K vs Ryzen 7 7700 benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 7 7700 performs better than the Core i5-9600K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-9600K in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen 7 7700 has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Core i5-9600K has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-9600K. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 7700 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-9600K. Also, the Ryzen 7 7700 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 7 7700 outputs less heat than Core i5-9600K thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 7 7700 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-9600K. The Ryzen 7 7700 also has significantly more L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i5-9600K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
