Core i5-9600K vs Core i9-8950HK benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-9600K performs better than the Core i9-8950HK. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i9-8950HK in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Core i9-8950HK has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-9600K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i9-8950HK. Despite this, the Core i9-8950HK has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i9-8950HK outputs less heat than Core i5-9600K thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches. The Core i9-8950HK also has slightly more L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking.
