Core i5-9600K vs Core i5-1240P benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i5-9600K beats the Core i5-1240P in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-1240P in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-1240P has significantly more cores with 12 cores whereas the Core i5-9600K has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-9600K. Our comparison shows that the Core i5-9600K has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-1240P. Also, the Core i5-9600K has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i5-1240P outputs less heat than Core i5-9600K thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i5-1240P has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i5-9600K. The Core i5-1240P also has slightly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-9600K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
