Core i5-9600 vs Core i3-1115G4 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-9600 is faster than the Core i3-1115G4. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-1115G4 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i5-9600 has significantly more cores than the Core i3-1115G4. Indeed, the Core i5-9600 has 6 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Core i3-1115G4. It also has more threads than the Core i3-1115G4. Our comparison shows that the Core i5-9600 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i3-1115G4. Also, the Core i5-9600 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i3-1115G4 outputs less heat than Core i5-9600 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Core i3-1115G4 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-9600. Despite this, the Core i5-9600 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Core i3-1115G4.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-9600 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
