Core i5-9400T vs Xeon E5-2670 v3 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Xeon E5-2670 v3 is faster than the Core i5-9400T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-9400T in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon E5-2670 v3 has significantly more cores with 12 cores whereas the Core i5-9400T has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-9400T. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon E5-2670 v3 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-9400T. Despite this, the Core i5-9400T has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-9400T CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-2670 v3 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-9400T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
