Core i5-9400F vs Xeon W-2223 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-9400F is faster than the Xeon W-2223. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon W-2223 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-9400F has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Xeon W-2223 has 4 cores. Despite this, the Xeon W-2223 has more threads than the Core i5-9400F. Our comparison shows that the Xeon W-2223 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-9400F. Despite this, the Core i5-9400F has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-9400F CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon W-2223 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i5-9400F has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
