Core i5-9400 vs Ryzen 5 7430U specs and performance

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Ryzen 5 7430U has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-9400 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 7430U. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 7430U has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 5 7430U outputs less heat than Core i5-9400 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 5 7430U has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-9400. The Ryzen 5 7430U also has significantly more L3 cache.
