Core i5-9300H vs Xeon W-2125 specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-9300H is faster than the Xeon W-2125. Despite this, the Xeon W-2125 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count and the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon W-2125 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-9300H. Also, the Xeon W-2125 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-9300H CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon W-2125 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Core i5-9300H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
