Core i5-8500T vs Xeon W-2223 specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-8500T performs better than the Xeon W-2223. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon W-2223 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i5-8500T has significantly more cores than the Xeon W-2223. Indeed, the Core i5-8500T has 6 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Xeon W-2223. Despite this, the Xeon W-2223 has more threads than the Core i5-8500T. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon W-2223 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-8500T. Also, the Xeon W-2223 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-8500T CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon W-2223 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-8500T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
