Core i5-8500T vs Core i7-10850H benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-10850H performs better than the Core i5-8500T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-8500T in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Core i7-10850H has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i7-10850H has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-8500T. Also, the Core i7-10850H has a significantly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-8500T CPU outputs less heat than a Core i7-10850H CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. When comparing cache sizes, these CPUs have an identical amount of L2 cache. The Core i7-10850H also has slightly more L3 cache.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-8500T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
