Core i5-8500 vs Xeon X5680 specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Xeon X5680 performs better than the Core i5-8500. Despite this, the Core i5-8500 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Xeon X5680 has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon X5680 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-8500. Despite this, the Core i5-8500 has a slightly higher turbo speed.
