Core i5-8400T vs Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G performs better than the Core i5-8400T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-8400T in all gaming tests too.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-8400T. Also, the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-8400T CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 5 PRO 4650G CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
