Core i5-8400T vs FX-8350 benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-8400T is faster than the FX-8350. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the FX-8350 in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-8400T has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the FX-8350 has 4 cores. Despite this, the FX-8350 has more threads than the Core i5-8400T. With our hardware info, we find that the FX-8350 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-8400T. Also, the FX-8350 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-8400T CPU outputs less heat than a FX-8350 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the FX-8350 has more L2 cache than the Core i5-8400T. Despite this, the Core i5-8400T has slightly more L3 cache compared to the FX-8350.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i5-8400T has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
