Core i5-8400 vs Ryzen 7 9800X3D benchmarks

With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 9800X3D has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-8400. Also, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-8400 CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-8400. The Ryzen 7 9800X3D also has significantly more L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking.
