Core i5-8400 vs Core i9-10900 comparison

With info from our database, we find that the Core i9-10900 has significantly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Core i5-8400 has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-8400. According to our data, the Core i5-8400 and Core i9-10900 have the same clock speed. Despite this, the Core i9-10900 has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Core i9-10900 has more L2 cache than the Core i5-8400. The Core i9-10900 also has significantly more L3 cache.
