Core i5-8365U vs Xeon X5650 benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-8365U performs better than the Xeon X5650. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon X5650 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Xeon X5650 has significantly more cores with 6 cores compared to the Core i5-8365U that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-8365U. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Xeon X5650 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-8365U. Despite this, the Core i5-8365U has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-8365U CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon X5650 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
