Core i5-7600K vs Xeon Silver 4110 specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Xeon Silver 4110 beats the Core i5-7600K in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i5-7600K has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Xeon Silver 4110 has significantly more cores than the Core i5-7600K. Indeed, the Xeon Silver 4110 has 8 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Core i5-7600K. It also has more threads than the Core i5-7600K. Our comparison shows that the Core i5-7600K has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Xeon Silver 4110. Also, the Core i5-7600K has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Xeon Silver 4110 outputs less heat than Core i5-7600K thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i5-7600K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
