Core i5-7600K vs Ryzen 5 7520U comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-7600K is faster than the Ryzen 5 7520U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 7520U in all gaming tests too.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Ryzen 5 7520U has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-7600K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 7520U. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 7520U has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 5 7520U outputs less heat than Core i5-7600K thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 5 7520U has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-7600K. Despite this, the Core i5-7600K has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 5 7520U.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-7600K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
