Core i5-7600K vs Core i7-4770K specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-7600K performs better than the Core i7-4770K. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-4770K in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Core i7-4770K has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i5-7600K has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-4770K. Also, the Core i5-7600K has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-4770K outputs less heat than Core i5-7600K thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches. The Core i7-4770K also has slightly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-7600K has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
