Core i5-7600 vs Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-7600 is faster than the Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i5-7600 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U. Also, the Core i5-7600 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U outputs less heat than Core i5-7600 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U has more L2 cache than the Core i5-7600. Despite this, the Core i5-7600 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-7600 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
