Core i5-7600 vs FX-8350 benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-7600 is faster than the FX-8350. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the FX-8350 in all gaming tests too.

Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the FX-8350 has more threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the FX-8350 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-7600. Also, the FX-8350 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Core i5-7600 CPU outputs less heat than a FX-8350 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the FX-8350 has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i5-7600. The FX-8350 also has slightly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Core i5-7600 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
