Core i5-7600 vs Core i7-8700T specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-7600 is faster than the Core i7-8700T. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-8700T in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-8700T has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Core i5-7600 has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-7600. Our comparison shows that the Core i5-7600 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-8700T. Also, the Core i5-7600 has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-8700T outputs less heat than Core i5-7600 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i7-8700T has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i5-7600. The Core i7-8700T also has significantly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Core i5-7600 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
