Core i5-7600 vs Core i3-1220P specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the Core i5-7600 beats the Core i3-1220P in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-1220P in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i3-1220P has significantly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Core i5-7600 has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-7600. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-7600 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i3-1220P. In terms of cache, the Core i3-1220P has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-7600. The Core i3-1220P also has significantly more L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Core i5-7600 has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
